Standing in a marketplace while my little sister and her friend are shopping – hmmm surely I have no addiction to knitting…
I have since lost the hat, and am in the process of knitting a similar one for the winter….not really the seasons for hats right now
In my mothers garden.
This sweater is my first attempt at a Nordic sweater – most of the patterns are from an old Norwegian knitting book my father-in-law has kindly given me and the pattern on the body is from an old Swedish pattern.
This is my first, but surly not the last, attempt at a Norwegian inspired sweater.
At that time it took me great effort to make the red shoes look nice – too many stitches between the dancing feet, but is my small way of paying respect to all the ladies who were wore the red shoes literally or in spirit.
It was fantastic!
Birthday present for my brother who is into computer games! Made in yarn he can wash at all temperatures…. I hope he could sense all the love that went into knitting that hat
